Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of a moment and no matter the uncertainty, you can KNOW with clarity that it will become a pivot point in your life.
Psalms was a pivot point for me.
In 2014 God stirred a crazy notion in my heart to write a couple Bible studies examining the Old Testament poetry book of Psalms. When i told my pastor what i felt like God was pressing me toward, his quote was something like this:
“Wow. Psalms. You should take on something easier…like Revelation.”
Well. He was right. “Easy” was not a word i used for those 2 years that i traveled through praying over, researching, writing, and teaching Psalms! But, the best parts of life are never ever the parts we’d label “easy.” Psalms was a pivot point…a shift in direction. It was a season that God confirmed, corrected, led, pruned, and taught me more about who He is than any other for me.
And now in 2019/2020 i’m revisiting Psalms. i’ve updated it (the cover art by my friend Kimberly Loveland alone makes my heart singgggggg) and cant wait to jump back in.
